How big is a ‘A4’ image in pixel?

The ISO standard for A4 is 210 x 297 mm (8.27 in. 11.69 in.)  The size of an image depends on the image resolution. For example an image with 300 dpi resolution should have a size of 2480 x 3508 pixel ((300 x 8.27) x (300 X 11.69)). Of course, you might want to subtract for your margins.

More examples:
72 dpi (web) = 595 x 842 pixel
300 dpi (print) = 2480 x 3508 pixel
600 dpi (print) = 4960 x 7016 pixel
